  EVERGLADES IMPACT - Florida Poll
EVERGLADES - what about it ?
What is the value to us of natural environment places like the Everglades on this earth ? Threatened places Like Venice ? Like New Orleans ? Human population and its demands keep growing - imperceptibly. Slowly enough for our leaders NOT to act, but doubling evey 40 years or so ! How do we support ourselves on this planet ?
RESERVOIR A-1
This area of the Everglades land has been razed to build quite needed water reservoir. The project, costing already more than $270 million, has been halted because plans changed.

CLIMATE CHANGE
Is the world climate changing, oceans warming and their levels rising ? Observations point to it. But is it a natural planetary phenomenon - or we are considerably contributing to it ?

US-SUGAR LAND DEAL
This has been a controversial deal from the very beginning. Is it too "sweet" a deal for the sugar company ? Can we afford it ? The land is needed for cleaning water for the Everglades. How much land is required and just where ?
